FAQ

Do you take my insurance?
I do not take insurance here at Vital Motion Physical Therapy, for a great reason! By not taking insurance I am able to treat my patients without restrictions. Insurance restricts how many body parts we can treat and how many sessions your treatment requires. Most importantly, not taking insurance allows me to provide focused, one-on-one care to maximally benefit my patients. However, insurance will reimburse physical therapy sessions if provided with a “superbill” which you can ask for at any visit. An exception to this rule is Medicare, which I cannot treat patients with even though we do not bill through insurance.

How long do sessions last?
Each follow up will take 45 minutes to 1 hour and focus on a combination of hands on treatment, stretches, strengthening and education to work toward functional goals.

What kind of treatments does Vital Motion treat?
Here at Vital Motion Physical Therapy we treat all orthopedic conditions including but not limited to: joint pain, post surgery, back/neck pain, and other injuries. Additionally, we specifically enjoy teaching proper lifting mechanics and work out routines to women who are new to fitness!

Do I need a referral from my Doctor?
No! Here in NY state, you are allowed to see a Physical Therapist without a referral for 30 days or 10 visits, whichever comes first. This only applies to Physical Therapists who have been practicing over 3 years. Cash based physical therapy still applies to this rule as it is a federal law.
